Abstract
The effects of ultraviolet radiation (UVR), Lipopolysaccharide (LPS), glucocorticoid (GCS) to the wound healing of the induced cutaneous wound were studied in the Ba1b/c mice. After treatment of UVR, LPS, GCS to the mice, the wound size and histopathologic findings were observed periodically. The results were as follows: 1. Wound healing was markedly delayed with the single exposure of 15KJ UVB, 3 times of 200§· LPS and 2§· GCS. 2. Wound healing was markedly delayed during the early stages, from 1st day to 7th day, after making the wound in the UVR, LPS-and GCS-treated groups. 3. The mononuclear cells were decreased in number around the wound during delayed wound healing. The above findings suggest that the UV radiation, LPS or GCS treatment induce the delayed wound healing through the diminution of the mononulear cell numbers around the wound.
